- Rice - 1 Cup
- Onion (sliced lengthwise) - 1/2 Cup
- Bay Leaves - 2 to 4
- Oil - 1 1/2 Tbsp
- Butter - 2 Tbsp
- Salt - 1 1/2 Tsp
- Cut veggies - 1 1/2 Cups (like Green Beans, Potatoes, Carrots, Green Peas)
- Water - 2 to 2 1/2 Cups (Included for grinding Masala)
- Coriander Leaves (Chopped) - 1 Cup
- Mint Leaves (Chopped) - 3/4 to 1 Cup
- Cloves - 4 to 5
- Cinnamon - 2" long
- Ginger - 1"
- Garlic (slightly roasted in oil) - 3 to 4
- Black Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
- Green Chilly - 5 to 6 (adjust to ur spice level)
- Tomato (Chopped) - 3/4 Cup/1 Medium
Method :
- Grind the Masala.
- In a cooker heat Oil, add Bay Leaves for 15 to 20 seconds, add in Onion. Saute till transculant.
- Add Vegetables and salt. Saute and leave for 30 seconds.
- Add Masala Grainded. Mix well, leave for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add Rice, mix well.
- Add Water. When water comes to boil put butter and close the lid.
- Cook till you get one wistle / for 7 mins.
- Mix well & serve with Raita.
Note:
- If cooking on normal pan, cook for 15-20 minutes on medium-low-heat.
